Schiff for Senate Seeks Digital Organizer
We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic individual to serve as our Digital Organizer. The ideal candidate will drive our volunteer network’s growth, actively utilizing social media platforms for recruitment, training, and development of our volunteer leaders. This role also includes moderating our campaign Slack and Facebook groups, creating an online space that fosters constructive dialogue, collaboration, and adherence to campaign principles.
Digital Organizer Duties and Responsibilities
- Volunteer Outreach: Utilize social media platforms to recruit and engage volunteers, extending the reach and impact of our campaign.
- Online Trainings: Develop and deliver online trainings for volunteers focusing on organizing strategies, campaign messaging, and digital engagement.
- Volunteer Leadership Development: Implement and manage a volunteer leadership program, fostering the development of leaders within the online community.
- Oversee Online Communities: Moderate and manage our campaign’s Slack and Facebook groups, ensuring a positive, inclusive, and productive digital environment.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the wider Organizing and Communications teams to synchronize online organizing efforts with overall campaign strategies.
- Engagement: Stay updated with current social media trends, utilizing insights to optimize recruitment and engagement strategies.
- Data Management and Reporting: Regularly evaluate and report on the effectiveness of social media organizing initiatives and suggest improvements as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in community organizing, with a particular focus on social media platforms.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and ability to use data to drive recruitment and engagement.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record in mentorship and volunteer coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
- Ability to respond promptly and professionally to challenges and concerns within the online community.
- Flexibility to work outside traditional office hours, including evenings and weekends.
The Digital Organizer will report directly to the Organizing Director and work closely with them to realize the campaign’s vision and objectives. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, online community engagement, highly organized, and driven to inspire others to action.

- Salary: $4k – $6k per month based on experience
