Press Assistant
Press Assistant Responsibilities Include:
- Drafting press memos, press releases, statements, talking points, advisories
- Media monitoring, compiling news clips, and transcribing interviews
- Collaborating with other department staff
- Familiarity with Mailchimp, TVEyes, Otter a plus
Job Requirements:
- The ideal candidate has at least one year of political communications experience and exceptional writing and organizational skills.
- Successful candidates will also have experience working in fast-paced environments, supporting and helping implement an aggressive communications plan, working collaboratively, and balancing competing priorities.
- The ideal candidate will also be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
- Candidates with California ties are preferred and written and verbal Spanish proficiency is highly desired but not required.
- Candidates in the Los Angeles area who can work from our Burbank office are preferred. The position can be remote if necessary for the ideal candidate.
Location:
- Burbank, CA is desired but not required
- In-office Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday (policy subject to change)
Salary:
$4,000 – $5,000/mo, depending on experience. Competitive benefits available.
