Finance Staff Assistant
Staff Assistant Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with all aspects of fundraising events
- Draft briefing memos and materials for review by Finance Assistants and
approval by Senior Staff - Create event materials on Canva and Numero
- Compose copy for event invitation blast emails
- Staff events including on weekends; arrive early for set-up
- Conduct event follow-up including acknowledgement emails to attendees,
organizing contact info for connections made by ABS and staff
- Draft briefing memos and materials for review by Finance Assistants and
- Assist with data entry
- Update various donor lists with contact information and contribution history ○
Input needed information into call time lists in conjunction with Deputy Finance
Director for Call Time and Correspondence - Track event attendees and import data to Numero
- Log checks in conjunction with Compliance Associate and ensure that these
contributions are reflected in Numero - Conduct data cleanup in NGP and Numero
- Update various donor lists with contact information and contribution history ○
- Process requests and updates from the Finance Assistants, Deputy National Finance
Director, National Finance Director, and consultant team - Assist Deputy Finance Director for Call Time and Correspondence with database
maintenance, call time prep and prospecting research - Manage 2-3 finance fellows and volunteers
Job Requirements:
- Previous campaign and/or fundraising experience preferred but not required
- Superb communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to meet many competing daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
- No-job-too-small, can-do attitude and eagerness to grow with the team
- Willingness to adapt to the fast paced, constantly changing nature of a competitive, large-scale California Senate primary campaign
- Strong professional communication skills both internally and externally to represent Team Schiff well with a top-tier campaign team and donor base; familiarity with Signal and Slack is a bonus
- Passion for electing Democrats and being part of the historic 2024 campaign cycle
Location:
- Anywhere in Los Angeles, commute to Schiff HQ in downtown Burbank, CA required
- In-office Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday (policy subject to change)
Salary:
$4,000 – $4,500/mo, depending on experience. Competitive benefits available.
