Finance Assistant
Schiff for Senate Seeks Finance Assistant
This position will serve as a full-time Finance Assistant for the Schiff for Senate 2024 campaign. They are responsible for fundraising event maintenance and logistics, briefing memos, call time assistance, data entry, compliance, and other reasonable duties as assigned.
Finance Assistant Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of fundraising events
- Assist fundraising staff and consultants in scheduling initial and check-in calls with potential & confirmed hosts; joining calls and taking notes
- Conduct host prospecting research
- Create event materials on Canva and Numero
- Maintain event trackers in real time; produce regular and frequent updates for event hosts
- Complete event confirm calls
- Prepare printed event materials including name tags and contribution forms; responsible for processing contributions post-event
- Staff events including on weekends; arrive early for set-up
- Identify and coordinate with volunteers for extra event capacity as needed
- Conduct event follow-up including acknowledgement emails to attendees, organizing contact info for connections made by ABS and staff
- Process requests and updates from the candidate, ensuring they are delegated to appropriate staff
- Assist Deputy Finance Director for Call Time and Correspondence with database maintenance, some call time prep, prospecting research, donor acknowledgement program
Job Requirements
- Previous campaign finance experience strongly preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to stay accountable to many competing daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
- Professional communication skills; donor management experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of NGP, ActBlue, Canva, and Numero is a bonus
- Passion for electing Democrats; no-job-too-small attitude with eagerness to grow with team
- Willingness to go with the flow and pace of a competitive, large-scale California Senate primary campaign

Salary
$4,000 – $5,000/mo, depending on experience. Competitive benefits available.
