Schiff for Senate Seeks Deputy Finance Director for Data & Operations

This position will serve as a full-time Deputy Finance Director for the Schiff for Senate 2024 campaign. They will report to the National Finance Director. They are responsible for fundraising event maintenance and logistics, database management, compliance, thank you program, and management of all operations related to fundraising and other reasonable duties as assigned.


Deputy Finance Director for Data & Operations Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of fundraising events
    • Assist fundraising staff and consultants in management of fundraising events
    • Staff events including on weekends; arrive early for set-up
    • Conduct event follow-up including acknowledgement emails to attendees, organizing contact info for connections made by ABS and staff
  • Manage finance database
    • Manage all coding and imports of contribution data from Democracy Engine, Engage, and other platforms to NGP and Numero; maintain strict daily, weekly, and monthly coding schedule
    • Work with in-house compliance team to maintain fundraising databasesWork with in-house compliance team and finance assistants to process checks and track physical mail between fundraising regions
    • Assist National Finance Director in maintenance of finance plan
    • Correspond with regional fundraising consultants to ensure accurate contribution coding, other correspondence as needed
  • Oversee finance assistants, finance fellows
  • Process requests and updates from the candidate, ensuring they are delegated to appropriate staff
  • Assist Deputy Finance Director for Call Time and Correspondence with database maintenance, some call time prep, prospecting research, donor acknowledgment  program
  • Manage donor acknowledgment  program

Job Requirements

  • Minimum one cycle of campaign finance experience required, more experience preferred
  • Knowledge of NGP, Numero and ActBlue required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to stay accountable to many competing daily, monthly, and quarterly deadlines
  • Donor management experience
  • Professional communication skills
  • Passion for electing Democrats; no-job-too-small attitude with eagerness to grow with team
  • Willingness to go with the flow and pace of a competitive, large-scale California Senate primary campaign
  • Ability to work on Weekends and travel as needed

Salary
